One of our favorite things to publish here on the blog are announcements regarding the Healthi app and updates that we're making! Today, we're so excited to share with you that the app's beloved Restaurant Guide is bigger, newer and just overall BETTER than ever! A little history behind the Restaurant Guide is that we wanted our members to have the capability of tracking the food they consume while eating out. Because who doesn't love a full belly and an empty sink/no dishes??meal

As time has passed, this feature has become more and more utilized by users. In an effort to best serve our members and make tracking as seamless as possible, the Healthi Restaurant Guide now houses over 800 OFFICIAL menus from restaurants all over the world!

So what exactly is the Restaurant Guide?

The Restaurant Guide is a database in the Healthi app that allows you to view, search and track official menu items from all of your favorite restaurants. If you want to have a night out on the town, but stay within your BITE allotment, the Restaurant Guide will be a game changer for you! Not only that, but you can easily add any menu item to a meal plan, whether it's a plan you've created from scratch or one you're iterating off of. Read more on making meal plans HERE.

How is this important in our tracking?

For example: Let's say you're planning out your week of meals. You know that you'll probably order pizza on Wednesday evening because of your son's choir concert. You'll probably get a few CAVA rice bowls for lunches throughout the week. And you're already thinking about that Saturday date night with your partner at Texas Roadhouse. You can pre-search ALL of those foods and add them to your meal plan ahead of time!

Here's why that's helpful: fail to plan = plan to fail! Setting out a little bit of time and intention to plan your food for the week will never be a bad idea. By committing to a certain menu item ahead of time, the guesswork and temptation of getting off track at a restaurant is totally mitigated! We promise- you'll thank us later! Even if you aren't a meal plan person, this app feature is still helpful as a research tool when deciding where and what to eat. Furthermore, the Restaurant Guide is a life saver for real-time tracking, when you do go out!

A note from the team:

This release greatly expands our restaurant offerings and brings our menu item data is up to date. We've also made changes to make restaurant items more discoverable. Our goal is to make it easier for our users to track the restaurant foods they eat and to increase the number of users who use the feature. Coming up next is an update to meal plans that will allow users to modify serving sizes followed by a mentions feature for the community! - Stephanie Dawson, Healthi Product Manager
